Payment Systems Rules

In order to provide guidance on the operations of various payment systems, participants and operators of such payment systems are required to establish rules. The rules prescribe the expected behaviour of the various parties in the payment system itself to ensure fair treatment of the various stakeholders affected by the payment system. They describe the obligations that stakeholders are expected to meet under different circumstances.

Below are the rules for the various payment and settlement systems that operate in Zambia.
