Mr. Chishimba Yumbe

Mr. Chishimba Brian Yumbe is currently serving as Finance Director of the Bank of Zambia. He is the Chief Financial Officer of the Bank and is responsible for financial reporting and financial management of central bank operations. Mr. Yumbe joined the Bank in 1993 as Senior Accountant in the Finance Department. In 1995 he was promoted to the position of Assistant Director Finance, a position he held until being elevated to Director Finance in July 2004. Mr. Yumbe has previously worked for Zambia Consolidated Copper Mines, KPMG and the United Nations Headquarters in diverse financial and auditing capacities. Mr. Yumbe is a graduate of Harvard University (Master of Public Policy and Management) and Edinburgh Business School (Master of Business Administration). He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (FZICA). Mr Yumbe also holds professional certifications in corporate treasury (ACMT) and information systems auditing (CISA). Mr. Yumbe has been serving on the Technical Committee of the Zambia Institute of Chartered Accountants (ZICA) since 1997. Mr. Yumbe is married and has three children.
