Mr. Peter Banda
Mr.
Banda joined the Bank in 1985 after obtaining a Bachelor of Arts Degree in
Economics from the
University of
Zambia. Mr. Banda is also a holder of Masters Degree in
Economics from
New
Mexico
State
University
in the
United States of
America
. Before being appointed Director Financial Markets, Mr. Banda
headed the Regional Office in Ndola between 2003 and 2009. Mr. Banda
has previously headed the Financial Markets department as Director between
1998 and 2003. He has been associated with a number of developments and reforms
in the financial markets in
Zambia
.
He
has served as a Board Member of the Securities and Exchange Commission and is
currently the Vice Chairman of the
Zambia
International Trade Fair
and Chairman for Mukuba Hotel. Mr.
Banda is also the Deputy Registrar for Banks and Financial Institutions, a
position he has held since 1999.
